I was at my gym today, I was right in the middle of a workout, when a thought crept into my head (it happens sometimes).
My finish at a 10k in Krum Tx, the longest I had ever run.
The workout I was doing was modified. I was doing only about half as much as everyone else. And..... it was kicking the crap out of me. My thought was this, "I bet this is so much harder for me than everyone else."
WOW!!!!! Have I learned anything???
In my moment of stupidity, feeling sorry for myself, weakness had crept in. Why was I comparing myself to other poeple? Was it human nature or was it me trying to feel better about myself? Whatever it was, it had to go.
I have to do whatever it takes to get where I need to be. Only I know how far I can push myself. The actions of others can inspire, but I need to worry about me. I set my goals, I am responsible for their fulfillment.
