Buoyancy

In the past, I always said, "If you hear that I have drowned, someone took me out." If you haven't figured it out yet, there is a very close relationship to being fat and being able to float. I would go to the ocean and swim for hours, just bobbing like a cork. There aren't many advantages to being really fat; buoyancy is pretty much the only one that comes to mind.

As I sat on the bottom of the pool for my kids amusement today, I realized how many things in my life have changed from just a few years ago. I would definitely not be at the pool. Don't misunderstand me...I still weigh 280 pounds and have a body that had 530 pounds on it. I have enough skin on my body to use as a tent the next time I go camping. It's definitely not that I think I look good, because I don't; but I am proud of my progress. Comfortable in my own skin....no matter how far behind me it drags on the ground.
